Translation

Treats painful wind of damp heat, with pain in the sinews and bones. Phellodendron steeped in wine and dried over a fire, and atractylodes lancea steeped in rice-washing water and dried over a fire, in equal parts, powdered; 1 don taken stirred into hot ginger decoction. — Dangye Simbeop 丹心 (Donguibogam · Pung)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Two herbs so well matched the tradition called them marvels — one cools the lower burner, one dries the damp that feeds it. Add Useul for Sammyo, add Uiiin for Sammyo's cousin; the whole family grows from this pair. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
