Translation

Treats the interior pattern of cold damage with slight heat, slight repletion and slight fullness, where a gentle purge is called for. Rhubarb, 4 don; magnolia bark and unripe bitter orange, 1 don 5 fun each. Cut up, make one packet and decoct in water. — Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Han, upper)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Three drugs, and the whole of the difference from the Major is the absence of mirabilite. Slight heat, slight repletion, slight fullness — the text repeats the word three times, and that is the gate. Rhubarb still takes the top dose, because something has to move the bowel; magnolia bark disperses the stuffiness and bitter orange the fullness. Without mirabilite there is no softening of hardened stool, which is exactly right when there is no hardened stool to soften. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
