Translation
Treats the same as above. Pinellia (processed), tangerine peel and red poria 2.5 don each. Cut up, make one packet, add 5 slices of ginger, decoct in water and take. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Damum)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Ijin-tang without the licorice, at two and a half times the dose. Dropping the licorice removes the sweet moderating element and lets the three remaining medicinals act more directly, which is what makes it major rather than minor. Not to be confused with the Jingui formula of the same name, which pairs pinellia with ginseng and honey for vomiting from stomach reflux. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
