Clinical commentary 臨床
Four herbs in equal parts, and the core three — corydalis, angelica, and cinnamon heart — recur in Seogeun-san and Ipan-san as well. The tradition evidently found that trio reliable for a fresh strain: corydalis for the pain, angelica for the blood, cinnamon heart to warm the channel it has to travel. What this version adds is eucommia, which puts the low back specifically in view rather than treating the injury generically. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
