Translation
Atractylodes, phellodendron, eucommia, psoralea, cnidium, Korean angelica, and white atractylodes, 1 don each. Cut the above, make one packet, decoct in water and take on an empty stomach. — Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Yo)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Seven herbs at one flat don each, and the design is a compromise the chapter states openly: this is the *vacuous* version of damp heat lumbar pain, so atractylodes and phellodendron clear while eucommia and psoralea fill. For the replete version the chapter sends you elsewhere. Given that the identifying signs are pain after long sitting and pain in overcast weather, this may be the single most applicable formula in the chapter to a modern desk-bound patient. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
