Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治諸風熱, 或中風不語ㆍ暴瘖ㆍ語聲不出, 或洗頭風ㆍ破傷風ㆍ諸般風搐ㆍ小兒驚風積熱, 或瘡疹黑陷將死, 或傷寒疫癘不能辨明, 或風熱瘡疥, 或頭生白屑, 或面鼻生紫赤風刺癮疹ㆍ肺風瘡, 或大風癩疾, 或風火鬱甚爲腹滿澁痛ㆍ煩渴ㆍ喘悶, 或熱極生風爲舌强ㆍ口噤ㆍ筋惕肉瞤, 或大小瘡腫惡毒, 或熱結大小便不通, 幷解酒傷熱毒. 《宣明》 ○滑石 一錢七分, 甘草 一錢二分, 石膏ㆍ黃芩ㆍ桔梗 各七分, 防風ㆍ川芎ㆍ當歸ㆍ赤芍藥ㆍ大黃ㆍ麻黃ㆍ薄荷ㆍ連翹ㆍ芒硝 各四分半, 荊芥ㆍ白朮ㆍ梔子 各三分半. 右剉, 作一貼, 入薑 五片, 水煎服. 《入門》 ○此方治熱ㆍ風ㆍ燥三者之總劑也. 《丹心》

Translation

Treats all wind heat; or wind stroke with loss of speech, sudden loss of voice and the voice not coming out; or head-washing wind, lockjaw, convulsions of every wind kind, and fright wind with accumulated heat in children; or sores and rashes gone black and sunken with death approaching; or cold damage and epidemic pestilence that cannot be clearly distinguished; or wind heat sores and scabies; or white scurf arising on the head; or purple-red wind pimples and dormant rash on the face and nose, and lung wind sores; or great wind leprosy; or wind and fire so constrained as to give abdominal fullness with rough pain, vexing thirst and panting oppression; or heat at its height generating wind, with a stiff tongue, the jaw clenched and the sinews and flesh twitching; or great and small swollen sores with malign toxin; or heat binding so that stool and urine do not pass; and it also resolves heat toxin from injury by wine. Talc, 1 don 7 fun; licorice, 1 don 2 fun; gypsum, scutellaria and platycodon, 7 fun each; saposhnikovia, chuanxiong, tangkuei, red peony, rhubarb, ephedra, mint, forsythia and mirabilite, 4 fun 5 ri each; schizonepeta, atractylodes and gardenia, 3 fun 5 ri each. Cut up, make one packet, add five slices of ginger and decoct in water.
